Sheryl has 20 years experience working in local government at senior positions covering the environment, regeneration and growth. Sheryl has a Physics degree from Kings’ College, London and a Research Masters from the University of East Anglia, Norwich in strategic environmental assessment and political decision making. For the last 10 years, Sheryl has focussed on analysing growth plans in Cambridgeshire for their future carbon impacts and mobilising local energy investment into renewable and energy efficiency investments. During 2018, Sheryl was approached by an enterprising community, Swaffham Prior Community Land Trust, and is now working with them and BEIS Heat Network Delivery Unit (HNDU) to bring forward a retrofit community heat project to shift a village off oil and onto renewables.
